Hey guys, welcome back!
So, now i’m recovered from the busy week of London Coffee Festival 2025, I’m going to go through my experience, what I thought, everything I learnt, the people I met and the valuable knowledge and connections I built through building my community on Instagram! It’s gonna be a short one, but I’ve got some very special articles on their way too as well as a very special merch release of some very funky t-shirts and other bits too, but more on that later.
So, Let’s get started!
The Opening Two Days
So, the first two days I was working with my job Origin Coffee Roasters, helping brew up some espresso based drinks as well as working on the oatley stand and all I can say it was busy! loads of people loads of espresso slinging and all around a great time. But the best part of this was speaking to cafe owners, new wholesale partners and diving deep into connecting with new people.
From the moment London Coffee Festival 2025 opened it’s doors on the Thursday at 10am, the whole place was filled with like-minded individuals like me and I was totally in my element. I felt at home, at peace and at ease in a way. I felt as if this is where I am meant to be, to be amongst these amazing people. Making conversations, building connections and getting pumped up for my future in speciality coffee. It really was a perfect blend of community, creativity and of course, coffee. But boy was it hot, loads of espresso machines steaming away, lots of people chatting away, but I was feeling the start of something special.
Working with Oatley
On the Friday morning of London Coffee Festival 2025, I had the privilege of working with Oatley and Origin Coffee on a signature drink made with cold brew concentrate, oatley cream, cherry syrup and tonka bean garnish, so it was literally a few hours of spraying cold whip ontop of coffee and grating tonka beans. But the best part was the connections. Having beautiful conversations with amazing people. I had fellow followers who I’ve been connecting with for a while on social media come up to me and say hey, which is always a pleasure. And throughout the conversations, I made new connections with new and amazing coffee professionals and enthusiasts.
This was only for a few hours in the morning and then I had the rest of the day to have a wonder, meet new people and connect and network. As well as watch my friends compete in the Legendary Coffee Masters championship. Throughout the day, I introduced myself to people I admire, one of them being the legendary Lance Hendrick (Fan boy moment haha) as well as the owners and roasters of some of my favourite roasterys and cafes. I connected with new people and developed conversation which inspired me to push forward and lock in into everything I want to pursue in Speciality Coffee.
This was the day I decided I want to compete in Coffee Masters 2026 – so I am now working hard on my signature drink for my entry video later this year. I won’t give anything away but it’s something that transcribes a story and something that truly ressonates deep with my mindset and passions for coffee and life.
As well as this, I got speaking to a few other professionals, Brazilian and Colombian coffee producers and this sparked my ambition for next year too to compete in brewers cup. Also chatting over the phone with a 3 time brewers cup champion who I’ve made friends with and who has pushed me and inspired me to again lock in on my dream and put all my efforts into competing and working hard on my presentation and brewing skills. So this day was full of inspiration, love, passion and enjoyment. I can’t wait for what the rest of the year and next hold for my speciality coffee career.
The Busy Weekend
The weekend of London Coffee Festival 2025 was the busiest I’ve ever seen it and it was really a networking extravaganza! I was working behind the machine at the stand and loads of people who follow me online came up and said hello, as well as old friends who I haven’t seen in a while. London Coffee Festival really is the place for a coffee nerd like me (and you guys too!) It was great to finally put a face to the online conversations and connections!
The day consisted of loads of coffee brewing, espresso and filter and lots of talks with people about coffee, passion and future. The weekend being the consumer days, naturally I expected it to be busier than the industry days and it was such an honourable experience speaking and connecting with so many amazing people.
A Summary
