Hey Guys, welcome back!
Sorry it’s been a while, I’ve been working on some visual content and now I’ve worked through that, I’ll be back posting weekly here and doing much more visual content on instagram and youtube too!
So today we will be talking about my favourite coffee subject – pour over! In particular pour over drippers and our top picks from hands on usage over the last year! The top 4 pour over drippers of 2025! Specifying the types of coffees you can get out of each and the functionalities too.
So, let’s get started!
4. Hario V60
First up, we’ve got the one and only Hario V60!
The legendary hario v60 is number 4 on our list, using them everyday at my place of work (the ceramic version) I find them easy to use, very well built and designed and they produce and great cup of coffee every time. But of course you’ve got to make sure you brew your coffee right!
The V60 makes a clean, light bodied and bright brew which allows the coffee to shine. Overall the hario V60 makes a great cup. I do recommend the plastic version of the V60 because it retain heat much easier than ceramics. But if you did choose to get a ceramic V60 all you’ve got to do is ensure you thoroughly pre heat the dripper, so that when it comes to brewing your coffee, the brews temperature is regulated and consitent.

3. Kalita 185
Next on our list is the Kalita 185. The perfect dripper for beginners, the Kalita wave 185 features a flat bottom and three small holes to allow for precise, even extraction. The flat bottom design helps control water flow allowing the user to produce great coffee most of the time. When I say most, I mean of course the pour over coffee brewing variables you need to control and consider when making your brew – check out this article here for more information.
The type of coffee to expect from a kalita is balanced and full bodied. So expect a slightly richer flavour when brewing using the kalita wave, and also slower extraction times due to the small holes on the base of the dripper extracting the coffee slower than a traditional open hole brewer.

2. Orea V4
The Orea v4, specifically the narrow one, is the one dripper that revolutionised the way you brew filter coffee. It features the V4 system which has four different bases for all types of different brews. With the classic flat bottom for even, balanced and full bodied flavour profiles. The open flat base for a central focused flow produces a different flavour profile entirely. The APEX (conical) allows you to brew with conical filter papers like you would on a V60, the APEX base producing coffees which are clean, bright and lighter bodied. And the Fast base is designed as ‘uncloggable’, which allows you to experiment grinding finer, pouring more volume and playing around with different filter papers.
This is a one of a kind dripper and a really fun way to experiment and up your brew game.
All we can say is well done, Orea.

1. Origami AIR
And finally the Caretta Coffee favourite. The Origami AIR!
With a very vibrant and unique design, the Origami AIR dripper is a daily user for me. With the ability to use conical and flat bottom filter papers for different types of brews. The Origami AIR creates a much cleaner cup of pour over filter cofffee from my experience using it comparing to other drippers we have used in the past.
The Origami features an open hole base, so naturally expect shorter extraction times and increased air flow. One of the main reasons we love this dripper is because of its colour variations, we love a bit of vibrancy here at Caretta Coffee, it feels as if it brings more up beat and positive energy into the room.
We also love how clean the flavours are when brewing with the Origami AIR, as well as being able to tweak variables and create a bright, clean and delicious cup of pour over filter coffee.

Well, that’s it for today’s article. We hope it’s been helpful and you’ve enjoyed this week’s quick read. If there are any other coffee drippers that you think we should check out, please let us know by emailing hello@carettacoffee.com
Until Next time, happy brewing!
Catch you on the next one!
